Medical Evacuation attracts 80 graduates of International Aviation Technical College

Upon the approval of the Crown Prince, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz, the Ministry of Defense, represented by the Air Medical Evacuation department at the Health Services Directorate, signed on Monday Rabi' Al-Awwal 19, 1443 – October 25, 2021 a cooperation agreement with the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation to attract and sponsor the trainees of the International Aviation Technical College at Riyadh to work as aircraft maintenance technicians in the civil track approved by the General Authority of Civil Aviation, in addition to cooperation in the fields of training and employment training (Jisr Program).

Both sides held a meeting in the headquarters of the International Aviation Technical College at Riyadh, in which they discussed ways of cooperation between both sides, and the needs and requirements of medical evacuation to attract 80 trainees from the College's graduates.

On his part, Eng. Ayman bin Mustafa Alabdullah, CEO of the Colleges of Excellence (the agency supervising the College), said that this agreement aims to achieve integration between the two parties to realize the common objectives of qualifying national cadres and promoting their employment opportunities in the labor market in accordance with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

He added that under this agreement, 80 jobs will be localized for the College's graduates to work in the Air Services air fleet at the Ministry of Defense, after being qualified and equipped with skills that enable them to work in the required jobs and perform competently.

Air Medical Evacuation of the Armed Forces Medical Services comprises a center for air operations, a fleet of helicopters and jets, maintenance facilities equipped with the latest technologies operated by an elite of medical and technical human cadres with the highest quality standards. The International Aviation Technical College at Riyadh contributed to providing special programs related to aircraft maintenance, and localizing this important sector through the College's students and graduates, as a significant proportion of previous classes' graduates got jobs before graduation in governmental and private agencies, such as the Royal Saudi Air Force, Airbus, AlSalam Aerospace Industries, BAE Systems, and others.
