International Aviation Technical College in Riyadh receives applications for enrolling in the first semester of the training year 2021/2022 for high school graduates, via www.ic.edu.sa.
Eng. Ayman bin Mustafa Alabdullah, CEO of the Colleges of Excellence, said that registration in the International Aviation Technical College is open until Thursday, August 26, 2021.
He explained that admission requires the applicant to be a Saudi national, have secondary school certificate (general, industrial or its equivalent), and and the applicant's certificate issuance shouldn't be more than 5 years ago, in addition to getting the results of the aptitude test made by the National Center for Assessment and Evaluation, and not getting a university certificate or a diploma from the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, and not be fired from any other university or college for disciplinary reasons.
Eng. Alabdullah noted that the college is one of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation colleges, supervised by the Colleges of Excellence. The college includes several disciplines that are needed in the Saudi labor market and fulfill the wishes of graduates, in accordance with Saudi Vision 2030. He said that the college graduates in previous years got jobs in several governmental and private sectors.
He pointed out that the International Aviation Technical College in Riyadh, established in 2014, is operated by the best international training agencies in Australia. It is one of the specialized colleges in aviation maintenance in the Kingdom, where it provides training according to the best international levels in aviation maintenance sector, and it has a license from the General Authority of Civil Aviation. He added that the college works on qualifying Saudi cadres to enter the labor market of aviation maintenance industry as professional and reliable technicians.
Colleges of Excellence CEO explained that the college provides many disciplines under two main routes (civilian and military). The first route qualifies trainees to get an accredited diploma from the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation and the General Authority of Civil Aviation in civil aircraft maintenance. The second route, which is directed to military sectors, consists of two disciplines: the first complies with the curriculum of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in aircraft mechanics and electronics, and the second complies with Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).
Alabdullah noted that the disciplines provided by the college include structures and engines, aircraft mechanics, aircraft maintenance (aircraft electronics), in addition to UAS mechanics, UAS aviation electronics, and UAS communications.
He stressed that the International Technical Colleges in the Kingdom have the support and the generous patronage of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his devoted Crown Prince, and the follow-up of Dr. Ahmed bin Fahad Al-Fuhaid, the Governor and Chairman of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation.
